Recognizes a 16kDa protein, identified as p16 INK4a tumor suppressor protein. Epitope of this antibody maps between aa1-32 of p16 INK4a protein. This antibody is highly specific and shows no cross-reaction with the closely related inhibitors such as p15 INK4b and p18 INK4c . p16 INK4a is a specific inhibitor of cdk4/cdk6, and a tumor suppressor involved in the pathogenesis of a variety of malignancies. This antibody is suitable for research on Mouse p16 INK4a protein.
